THE VENUE
We have chosen to get married at Cripps Barn. We hope that you will love it as much as we do

GETTING HERE
Public Transport
The nearest station to Cripps barn is Kemble, with direct trains from London Paddington taking under an hour and a half. From the station, you can take a taxi to the venue or accommodation nearby. Our venue recommends booking in advance with the local taxi companies listed here.
Driving
Have a look on Google Maps for the most direct route, this could include some winding single track roads!
Flying
The closest international airport to Cripps Barn is Bristol, however we would expect most of our overseas guests would find it more convenient to fly into London and then hire a car or take the train the rest of the way. Unless you happen to be in general aviation, in which case you have the option of flying into the Cotswolds airport (IATA: GBA)...
STAYING HERE
The Cotswolds is known for its quintessentially English villages of honey-coloured stone, lively market towns, some of the country’s greatest palaces, castles and country houses

FAQ
We tried to think of most things...
When do you need my RSVP?
Latest 18th February please.
Can I bring a plus one?
Sure, if you’d like to bring a plus one just put their name on the rsvp form. We’ll probably ask you who they are if we haven’t met them before!
What’s the dress code?
Lounge suits and party dresses. The venue has a nice outdoor area with firepits for marshmallow toasting in the evening so we’d advise bringing a coat.
Can I bring confetti?
We’ll provide confetti as the venue are quite particular about what may be used.
What time should I arrive?
The ceremony starts at 15:00 but please arrive at 14:30 and be seated by 14:45. We’ll have musical entertainment from 14:30 onwards.
Can I park at the venue?
Yes, there’s a large car park. You can leave your car overnight but it must be collected by 10am the following day.
Who should I call if I have a problem on the day?
Please call either Tash on +44 (0)7580 437 542 (maid-of-honour) or Olly on +44 (0)7956 515 563 (best man).
Can I take pictures?
Although we’d ask you to put your phones away for the ceremony itself please feel free to take pictures during the rest of the day. We promise we’ll share our wedding pictures with you when we get them! Our photographer will be there the whole day so just ask him for a picture and live in the moment.
What are we eating?
For the meat eaters we’ve got butterflied lamb with dauphinoise potatoes and veg, we do have an option for the vegetarians (tarka dhal with cauliflower and paneer). Kids can have either a half portion of the adult meal or tomato pasta. Let us know using the RSVP form if you have an dietary requirements. There’ll be canapes at the drinks reception with sweet treats and pizza later in the evening so we won’t be going hungry!
What’s the alcohol situation?
We’ll have a free bar. Please don’t bring your own booze as the venue will charge us for it if they find out!
Should I bring my dancing shoes?
Yep, we’ll have a DJ until the end of the evening. We’ll be doing our “last dance” at about 00:15 and the venue has a lights out at 01:00 policy.
Are you organising any taxis / buses?
We haven’t planned anything at the moment. If you’d like to organise something yourself feel free to let us know and we can hook you up with guests going in the same direction.
Our venue recommends the following local taxi firms and advises that you book in advance.

Where can I stay the night?
Our venue recommends the following local B&Bs, hotels and self-catering accommodation

Are you changing your name?
We’re going for the traditional Mr and Mrs Chan!
What about gifts?
You being there to celebrate with us is a gift enough as we know how expensive weddings can be. We really don’t need any gifts (and would struggle to carry much back to Malaysia in any case). If you really do want to get us something, any contribution to our honeymoon would be greatly appreciated. It’s a Chinese tradition to give “red packets” at a wedding – see here for some info.
Anything else?
Please drop us a line if you want to know something or if you need our help with anything at all.
